Since its inception in 2014, the Big Fat Super Swap has evolved, grown, and changed with the times and our community—much like all of us have. Organizers have come and gone, each time for giving the Big Fat Super Swap their heart to make it grow a little bigger and brighter.

Throughout these transitions, Cake Plus-Size Resale has helped house the swap’s resources and inventory, and acted as a steward in the time there were no organizers or when the swap needed extra support. In 2024, the swap will return to Cake’s capable hands. Cake will manage the swap, and bring on volunteers to help bring the swap back in 2024.

The Big Fat Super Swap has been such a big part of my world since late 2017 when I became one of the organizers. It helped me really become involved in my community, meet so many friends, create the Super Coat Fund, and so much more. I am endlessly grateful for everyone who has been involved or attended. Additionally, I am so thankful to Cake for being able to help give the next iteration of the Swap life as I step away from organizing it.
